This webpage is dedicated to a community-wide effort in Eldersburg, MD to find alternatives to a proposed 254 townhome rental complex off of Ridge Road and Kali Drive. Carrolltowne United is an organized group of community members looking to work with the developer, Security Development Corporation, and the county to find development solutions that will not overburden our schools, roads, water, and fire and rescue services. | The site plan for this 254 unit rental complex was approved by the Carroll County Planning and Zoning Commission on July 19th, 2005 against their free will. They were forced to approve the plan by a court order from Judge Galloway despite being overwhelmingly opposed to the plan. While Galloway's decision to force the commissioners to approve the plan or else face jail time and fines is under appeal, Security Development Corporation is proceeding with this project. The community must come together and stand up for what is right! We cannot allow our commissioner's voice and the voice of the community go unheard. There must be ways to work with Security Development Corporation to find a solution that is good for us all.
